Daniel Espinosa (Entrevistador de “Cementerio de Noticias”)  El estreno en el territorio español del filme ha aconteció en el marco del Sitges Film Festival 2014; ¿qué supone para ti que un certamen tan prestigioso como éste haya incluído tu trabajo entre los seleccionados?

Griff Furst (Director de “Starve”)  It means a whole lot to me; “Starve” was previously excepted into over a dozen film festivals, but once we were selected by SITGES, we respectfully declined all other festival offers in order to save the world premiere of “Starve” for this festival.



D.E.  En la cinta se aprecian evidentes alusiones a otras producciones; ¿se trata de una cuestión fortuita o voluntaria y, en éste último caso, cuáles han sido los referentes que consideras más característicos?

G.F.  Many!, great cinema in general is what I pull from, doesn’t matter the genre; although I believe the writer was inspired by “Saw” movies.



D.E.  Pese a tratarse de una película de bajo presupuesto, la fotografía luce tan profesional como una de alto coste; ¿cuán laborioso ha sido?

G.F.  The production value achieved is the manifestation of a lot of effort and a lot of love from everyone on the crew; we also had some help from the city of Canton MS who helped us find a few locations that were perfect for the story, the school even had a great portion of props.



D.E.  En la actualidad es complicado prever la acogida de la que un filme gozará; ¿tienes en mente expandir el horizonte de promoción de la presente más allá de festivales internacionales en busca de éxitos?

G.F.  Of course, ideally we will see a theatrical release for this film in the near future; the objective is to get as many eyes on the finished.
